This part of the day is an institution. This meal is so good that 95% of our clients opt for it and our repeat customers demand a shorelunch every day they are on the water. Come taste for yourself how good fresh caught fish can be! Of course, no shore lunch is complete without skillet-fried potatoes and onions, Bush's baked beans, whole kernel corn, and dessert!

Our policy is intended to be fair to our guests and yet prevent the loss of fishing days during the short guiding season. We must depend on advance reservations, and once we reserve a guide day for you we must turn down all other requests for the same day. In return, you will be expected to pay a deposit fee for the days you reserve. Deposit fees are required for all reservations, and will be credited against your final guide bill. Advance deposits required: $100 per guide per day. Deposits are NOT REFUNDABLE but are transferable to another date booked with us.

Whatever time of the year you visit Lake of the Woods, plan to purchase at minimum, the Ontario fishing license. Having both the Minnesota and Ontario licenses allows unlimited options for your fishing success. Our clients enjoy fishing the Minnesota waters, but they absolutely love the secluded fishing opportunities that the Canadian side offers. We suggest getting your license ahead of time to avoid losing part of your fishing day. You may purchase you Ontario license in advance at the Shell gas station in Sprague, Manitoba on your drive to the Angle. Ontario fishing licenses may be purchased online or by phone. Click on the link below for more information.

On a daily basis we cross the International Border between the U.S. and Canada. Clearing customs is a simple, 5 minute process, and is done at several locations nearby via videophone. We call in the boat number, the number of people on board, everyone's name, and date of birth. Upon receiving this information, Canada Customs issues an authorization number and we are on our way.
For those folks who would like to simplify their trip even further, there is a permit available for around $30 per person or family. It is called a Remote Area Border Crossing Permit, or RABC, and allows the user to cross the border without having to clear customs each time. Spouses and children may be included under a single RABC. Information and the application forms for an RABC may be found at the link below.
A current U.S. passport is required to re-enter the U.S. from Canada beginning June 1, 2009. You will need to carry a passport for cross-border travel on the lake, as well as returning through U.S. Customs on your drive home from the Angle. Follow the link below for more information and to apply for a passport.
