| Angling Adventures Guiding Service was founded by Scott and Allen Edman. Scott and Allen are third-generation guides and have been guiding on Lake of the Woods since 1987. Both brothers say they are the better guide, and, to their client's benefit, they battle it out each day on the lake to see who comes out ahead. They have invested their whole lives into Lake of the Woods and the fish that it contains.
Andy Lundbohm and Lane Magnuson both grew up fishing on Lake of the Woods. Andy began guiding with Angling Adventures in 2001. Lane has been guiding at the Angle since 1993, and is now bringing his guiding experience to Angling Adventures. They both are versatile fishermen, who know how to get on the fish at all times of the year, and show their clients a great time as well.
Each guide holds a U.S. Coast Guard Captains License, and is professionally licensed and insured to guide in both Minnesota and Canadian waters. Scott, Allen, Lane, and Andy take a team approach to guiding; sharing patterns, spots, and knowledge with each other. They stay ahead of the curve to keep you on the most productive patterns. When you fish with Angling Adventures, it’s like having four guides in your boat instead of one!

Allen has a great time fishing for whatever species he is after. A true people person, Allen believes that half of the fun in the boat is getting to know the clients, and his greatest reward is to educate clients and watch them become better anglers. Allen’s excitement is contagious! You can learn more about fishing in one day with Allen than in several months fishing on your own. Allen is also very competitive, and takes great pleasure in bringing in more fish than the next boat, which he usually does. Allen is a University of North Dakota graduate and has a degree in Elementary/Middle Level Education. Allen is currently teaching 7th grade Life Science during the winter months and runs an Outdoors Club at his school.

Scott truly enjoys his job - even on a day off, you will likely find him on the water, learning new spots and refining fishing techniques. He loves to show his clients the right types of spots to fish and the most effective presentations to make them more efficient anglers both on Lake of the Woods and at home. Scott always wants his boat to do well (read: better than Allen's) and won't rest until it does. Scott has a degree in Industrial Arts Education from the University of North Dakota and teaches technology and outdoors classes in Grand Forks, North Dakota during the off-season.

Lane has been fishing Lake of the Woods since age 5. In 1993, the family fishing trips turned into a summer guiding job at the Northwest Angle. Since then, he has since spent countless days guiding fisherman and hunters on the lake year round. On Lake of the Woods walleye is king; however, Lane also enjoys targeting the other species of the lake. Whether you are after muskie, northern pike, crappie, bass, perch, or even the elusive eelpout, Lane will provide you with the best opportunity to have a successful fishing adventure. Lane is a graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College where he received a degree in geography and played four years of football. He also received a master’s degree in urban and regional planning from Minnesota State University, Mankato. Lane also took off a couple summers of guiding to play Arena Football for the Minnesota Purple Rage.
